India ..whr is it heading ??

The numbers are really astonishing!! 42% of the Indians are under the global poverty line. the global poverty line takes $1.25 per day . This signifies that a third of the nations poverty resides in India. thats really awful . And the most scary fact is that India is the top country with children with children under 3 years with malnutrition.
When you get to hear of such facts of your countries its really worrisome. day in and day out you get to hear of BRIC nations, the only nation with fast recovery from the global recission, and the emerging super power. I really dont understand what the so called globalisation and the double digit GDP growth speaks about the country when 77 % its ppl are unable to meet their mininum requirements to lead a life.
I jus wonder ,if by any possible means i cud help my fellow beings !!
